Children are the future and rely on adults to keep them healthy. I am appalled and disheartened that Congress has failed to fund the Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP – PeachCare for Kids). This program helps working families all across our district. In 2016, more than 134,000 Georgia kids were covered by this program, and now they face an uncertain future as funds are expected to dry up by March.
In Congress, I’ll put the working class families across our district, first. I’ll fight to make sure kids have the healthcare they deserve. It’s time we have a representative who focuses on doing right by the people who elect him and not the big corporations who donate to him. And I’m just the man for the job.
